Earth Week, Looking ahead to next year, Goal Setting!!

Earth Week Festival, April 17th 11:30am-1pm

Many of you are participating in our Earth Week Festival on A Quad which will be held on April 17th at 11:30am. If you are tabling, please arrive in time to set up your table. Your table should be attractive to encourage students to stop by

Earth Week Events:

April 17

Trash Sort and Recycling Tower. If you want to help us sort out recyclables from our campus trash bins sign up here: http://doodle.com/fy9x269kqkkt87d6 8:30am – 12:30pm by the flagpole.

A-Quad Festival. With live music from Osage, informational tables, and a used clothing exchange. 11-30am – 1:30pm by the flag pole.

Tree & Wildflower Walk. Led by Dr. Warren Hauk Associate Professor of Biology. Meet in front of Slayter at 12:00pm


Senior Social Hour. Join our seniors in The Roost starting at 4:30pm.



April 18

Farmer Friday with Stutzmans Grain Farm. Meet the farmer and taste the goodness. 11:30am – 1:30pm in Curtis Dining Hall.

Homestead Open House. Come see the new cabin at the Homestead and enjoy great homemade food and good fellowship. 4:30pm – 7:00pm @ the Denison Homestead.


April 21

Mushroom (edible ones) Growing. Join Bon Appetit’s Sustainability Manager Sarah Piper in starting some homegrown mushrooms.

Year in Review

This year had its ups and downs. The year will conclude on May 5th with our final Green Group Meeting. Attendance is key to the success of the Sustainability Fellows Program. Please bring your reflective thoughts and ideas to this meeting. It will be held on May 5th at 8:30pm. The Location will be announced by Jeremy King in the near future.
