Coaching Is So Much Fun!
Thank you, Ms. Conley and Mrs. Tinsley-Rodriguez for inviting me into your classrooms. This week was especially enjoyable because of you. It has warmed my heart hearing my name and receiving hugs from students in the hallway as a result of our newly formed relationship. I am so fortunate to work with remarkable people each and every day. 🥰 Ask Mrs. Tinsley-Rodriguez's students about Plate Tectonics and check out Ms. Conley's gallery walk of classroom rules.

Learning Targets
The first five educators to send me an image of your learning target won a $5.00 Amazon gift card!!!
Example: “I can write an opinion piece with a clear topic and transition words using the provided rubric.” Remember you are not writing out the standard; you are creating a learning target from the standard and adding how they will learn the target. Yes, it is that simple. 😁
Let's go again...This time send me an image of your learning target written/posted in your classroom. Add the HOW they will learn the target. Begin with I can.

RCMS PST
Please refer to the RtI Manual that I created for our school. Remember it is the expectation that all stakeholders are included as part of the Problem Solving Team (PST). That includes students. They are to be included in all meetings that are related to them.
Data collection for PST is not grade work, rather data. As a team we need to determine the interference(s) to student learning and/or behavior. From that we create an ROI (Rate of Improvement) to continue our data collection. I want to also emphasize that grades should marry data. For example, if an 8th grade student is performing Three or More Grade Levels Below in Reading according to their i-Ready Diagnostic, then that student should not have a B in ELA. We will focus on standards mastery and data. If behavior is an area of concern, then you are to come with your behavior plan, proof of parent contact, and use of the school-required discipline ladder.
I am here to support you with any questions or concerns. Please schedule a time to meet with me.
Our October meeting is schedule for Friday, December 1, 2023.
Teacher Spotlight
💪 Coach Kimber 🏈
A team is made of people who can make or break your goals. Coach Kimber is the right person to have by your side to see your goals come to life at RCMS! There has never been a time that I have asked Coach Kimber for help or support that he has not come through for me and helped me. He is flexible, an effective communicator, and always has a positive attitude. The RCMS family can without exception rely on Coach Kimber to be the loudest at school events as he cheers on his peers.
