Butterfly School News for NOVEMBER 2018!!
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17
It is important to be mindful of the many blessings we receive throughout the year. November brings a special time of remembrance for many of our families. Memories of special family members who have passed on live close to our hearts. May this season be a special time for each of you and your family.
Thank you for sharing your most precious gift with us. It is a privilege for us to share in this special time in your child's life!
I want you to know what a true blessing your child’s teachers are! Every day they diligently work to prepare fresh and challenging lessons to accelerate your child’s learning skills. I can honestly say you won’t find a finer group of professionals more dedicated to serving your child’s educational and spiritual needs than here at Riverside Butterfly School.
Occasionally parents ask about special ways to recognize and thank their child’s teacher for their hard work. Examples might be a special occasion such as their birthday or Christmas. To make your special recognition choice a little easier, each of our staff members has filled out a ‘faculty favorites’ sheet. It is a handy resource around birthdays and holiday time! If you’d like to make sure your special gift is exactly the right fit, stop by the little red shelf outside my office. There you will find the The Faculty Favorites Book. You are welcome to open up the book and snap a photo of your child's teacher's page! Our specials teachers and aides are in there too!

Chapel Chat -Ms. Chris
November chapel Bible stories will be focused on being thankful for what God provides for us. We will be providing food for others as God provided for Elijah. Ask your child to tell you this amazing story! A letter was sent home in your child's folder indicating a canned food to fill up your class's bucket. Butterfly School will be delivering these cans to feed hungry families this holiday season. The last day to donate will be November 15. November's Memory Verse is Colossians 3: 15, "Always be thankful. "
Musical Moments -Ms.Deborah
Happy Fall! In Music, this month’s theme is all about Autumn and Thankfulness. We will continue to work on playing instruments to the beat of the songs, as well as focusing on dynamics and tempo. Our 2s and 3s will keep moving through the alphabet with music terms and experiences like C is for Conducting and G is for Guitar. The Pre-K classes will be focusing on music theory and the types of notes and rests in music as well as the journey through orchestral instruments. We will be listening and watching Peter and the Wolf as each character is represented by a different instrument. With the Christmas program not too far away the 3s and Pre-K classes will also begin working on learning their songs for that. What a joy all of your children are!! I am blessed each day by their bright smiles and beautiful voices!!
