Counseling Connection
- Reminder: The deadline to drop a course or change the level of a course is by the end of the first quarter on November 11 (school is closed that day). Any course dropped after this deadline will result in a Drop/Fail which is recorded on the transcript. If you have any concerns, please communicate with the teacher and the counselor of record.
- The deadline to register for the December 10th ACT is TODAY, 11/4! The ACT Test for Students
- The NYSACAC CBO and Opportunity Programs Committee invites all interested students and families to “Navigating Your Future!” This virtual event will inform students and families about the college and career process. It will begin with an interactive student panel, where students from CUNY, SUNY and Private NYS Colleges and Universities will share their experiences in the college application and financial aid process. This will be followed by breakout rooms where students will engage with professionals on a variety of topics. This event is open to all high school seniors and juniors and their families. (Interested sophomores and freshman can attend, but please note the information is tailored for seniors and juniors). Date: Wednesday, November 9th, Time: 6:30pm-7:30pm E.S.T., Location: Zoom
- Juniors: College and Career Prep class starts in the second quarter. It will be added to your schedule by Thursday, November 10 so check the student portal. ACE classes start on 11/14 and BDF classes start on 11/15.
- Reminder for Seniors: Students can apply to up to five SUNY campuses with no application fee until November 6th:! This includes all 64 SUNY campuses, no matter which application vehicle the student uses. Students can get details at www.suny.edu/apply
