THANKS FOR THE OUTSTANDING MEMORIES

It is hard to believe but my 19 year stay at Pleasant Union (aka 2nd home) is coming to a close. Who knew when I was approved to be the new principal of Pleasant Union in August of 2000 that I would still be here in 2019. I guess after 39 years in education and 23 in administration it is time to turn the page and go to the next chapter of my life. The transition is bittersweet as I have loved my time at Pleasant Union and have had the opportunity to work with and meet some outstanding people which I now consider life long friends. It has been a pleasure to see so many students go on to successful times in middle school, high school, college and yes great careers. We have seen many of our students named valedictorians in high school, meet with success in higher ed and to go on to jobs in the United States and overseas. Some are preparing to be doctors, teachers, scientists, IT specialists and much more. Some even come back to be a counselor and even the next principal at Pleasant Union.

Your children have given me many fond memories that will never forgotten. Your continued support helped me grow as a leader and to build Pleasant Union into the showcase school that it is today. I have been proud to be your principal and it is with the that in mind that I go to the next chapter of my life knowing that I had the opportunity to work with phenomenal students, an incredible staff, outstanding parents at the best school in Wake County.

Best wishes to your children and to you in the years to come.
