A Note from Mrs. Cockrell

Dear Chisholm Trail families,

We are excited to invite you to join one of our two Title 1 meetings. We will be discussing what Title 1 is and how we can work together to create the outstanding learning outcomes for your children. We need your ideas and input to improve our practice every year. We hope you can join us. The dates and times are included below as well as our Title 1 Compact and feedback form. Take a look and see what you think and then bring your suggestions to one of the meetings, or provide feedback on the survey form.

We are also looking for a community member to serve on our Campus Educational Improvement Committee. This time commitment is three virtual meetings. Please email me at ccockrell@sangerisd.net, if you are interested. If you know of a community member (not a CTE parent) who might be interested in serving, please send me his or her contact information.

To celebrate Red Ribbon week, we have the following dress up days planned for THIS WEEK.

Monday-“Pledge to be DRUG FREE”-Wear Red today!

Tuesday-“We are Brave, We are Drug Free”-Dress like your favorite Super Hero

Wednesday -“Peace Out to Drugs”-Rock that 70’s look

Thursday-“We are Happy, We are Drug Free”-Dress like your Favorite Disney Character

Friday-“Stay Boo-tiful, Stay Drug Free”-Wear Halloween-themed Clothes (no costumes)

Remember to cheer on a teacher using the Chisholm Cheers form below.

Thank you for sharing your children with us!

Chisholm Cheers

Good things are happening at Chisholm Trail and we would love to hear about them. Your words of encouragement are invaluable to our teachers!

Big picture
Parents please sign your student up for the 21-Day Challenge today. You will get access to cool snack recipes created by the high school students from Sanger High School and across North Texas. The program encourages you to make healthier snack choices for the next 21 days. Every day, prepare and eat a healthy snack that contains a fruit or vegetable. The recipes in this year’s book are inspired from all over the world, plus for your participation, you will get cool rewards.

Arrival/Dismissal

Thank you for your continued support for our procedures this year. Children are arriving no earlier than 7:35 and entering the building safely, wearing masks.

We appreciate that you have your car tags hanging on your mirror at dismissal. In the case of a forgotten tag, we will do an ID check as efficiently as possible, but we may ask you to pull up ahead of the line and wait for a moment.

Helpful Reminders

Parents, please remember to LABEL your children's belongings. (Water bottles, jackets, masks, lunch boxes, back packs, etc.) We want all items to stay with their rightful owners. When things are left behind, it is very tricky to return them if they are not labeled. Thank you for your help with this.
