ZBTHS Parent Bulletin
From the ZBTHS Principal's Office Vol. 3, Issue 2
Principal's Message 11/18/22
Hello Zeebee families,
The holiday season is upon us! Reasons to be thankful increase as we move further away from the heart of the pandemic. Our changes with metal detection entry and the hallways closures from some of our construction, have been handled well by everyone in our buildling. Our teachers and students alike have shown their resiliency and ability to adjust with all of the changes. They have demonstrated what ZB Pride is all about which is perservance, resposibiilty, integrity, diversity, and empowerment.
We want to ensure that you are aware of the finals expectations that are coming this December 20th -22nd. The exams will function the same as last year. All students who have not earned an "A" in their course are required to come to school to take that final assessment provided by their teachers on those days. Please ensure that your student attends school to take their final.
During the pandemic we were cognizant of students return to school and decided to go in this route, however after this 1st semester we will be exploring a more traditional finals exam process. Updates on what that will look like for second semester will be provided in forthcoming parent letters.
As always: You Matter, You are important, We are Proud, and We - Bee-lieve

Did you know that November is “Family Stories Month”?
Gathering for the holidays is an excellent time to share stories and photos and, more importantly, learn about your family’s history.
This year, try to record your stories using audio, photos, and video, so that they can be easily saved and shared with future generations. The best part is that you can continue to add to them every time your family gathers together.
Here are some ideas for you:
Try Google’s free Photo Scan app to scan any photo to make it digital.
Create a free Google Folder to add your media too. Share with your family members, and everyone can contribute.
Create a website for free with Google Sites, these are a great place to keep your memories posted.
Try a paid website like LifeTales or StoryCombs to collaborate and collect stories.

ZB Club Spotlight
FBLA is a student organization, run by students, that advocates for careers in the Business Field. Students experience fundraising, philanthropy efforts and competition in over 70 business events. Students choose a topic they're interested in, learn or prepare for that topic, and compete against other high school chapters.
ZB FBLA competed in the Fall Illinois Online Competition in October, competing against 18 Illinois High Schools in a variety of events. FBLA meets weekly in the evenings until mid-January to prepare for our Northern Area Competition at the College of Lake County, which will be our last.
