2023 Educational Effectiveness Survey (EES)
A key improvement strategy calls on organizations to study the user experience. Therefore, it makes sense to include our students in the work we are doing to improve our schools, as they are the primary user and beneficiaries of what we do. The family survey that we are asking parents/legal guardians to take will be open February 28-March 19, 2023.
Please click this link to complete the family survey before March 10th!
Friday, March 17, is a Digital Learning Day (DLD) for all students. On scheduled DLDs, students access lessons in eCLASS but do not have virtual class time with their teachers.
To ensure that students have a nutritious breakfast and lunch to fuel their learning, our bus drivers will be on the road and at every bus stop to deliver meals prepared by School Nutrition Program staff.
Families should expect buses to run their routes from approximately 10:45 a.m. to noon, beginning at the first stops on the route. These delivered meals are provided at no cost to families, and are provided to anyone 18 years old and under.
LGPE Chorus
Please help us congratulate some of our chorus students on their EXQUISITE job at Large Group Performance Evaluation yesterday! Our choir came back to Richards with the HIGHEST RATING that a choir can receive in performance!
We had three judges: Dr. Chantae Pittman, Dr. Carol Taylor, and Dr. Greg Smith. All three judges gave a “superior” rating on our students’ performance of “One Wish” by Dave and Jean Perry and “Bee, I’m Expecting You” by Emma Lou Diemer.
Car Rider Reminders
If your student is a car-rider, please be aware of these important reminders.
- Students must be picked up by 4:20 PM. Please be sure to arrive on time.
- The car-rider lane is one lane. Please do not attempt to pass cars. This will ensure that all students are safe while walking to their cars.
- Please move forward as far as possible. This will allow others behind you to pick up their children and for the line to move more quickly.
Thank you for understanding that student safety is our top priority during afternoon dismissal.
