Thank you, Bremerton School Board Directors!
This month, Bremerton School District joins communities nationwide celebrating School Board Recognition Month. This is the 25th year of this annual observance, which was initiated by the National School Boards Association.
Thank you to our dedicated school board directors for their tireless service to our students and the Bremerton Community!
Check out the letter to the editor thanking our board from Superintendent Aaron Leavell in the Kitsap Sun.

The Bremerton School Board has approved two levy measures on the February 11 ballot. These levies replace two existing levies that expire at the end of 2020.
Proposition 1: 4-year replacement Educational Programs and Operations Levy (previously called Maintenance & Operations or M&O):
- The current levy expires at the end of 2020 (collection years were 2019-2020)
- This levy would be collected in 2021-2024
- This levy would replace that funding for programs that are important for our students and our schools
- Funds from this levy account for approximately 15% of the Bremerton School District budget
Proposition 2: 2-year replacement Capital Levy
- This levy would replace the current capital levy which expires at the end of 2020
- Funds would fund replacements of and improvements to existing facilities of the District (such as electrical, plumbing, fire safety, building repairs and improvements) to meet current and future educational programs for students
We invite you to join us at our final community meeting on Tuesday, February 4, 1-2 p.m. at the District Office (134 Marion Avenue N, Bremerton).
