MUSIC CALENDAR
The WHS Music Department calendar is available on our website: www.whsmusic.net
All the dates listed in our calendar are subject to change. Updates and/or changes will be made as soon as the information and logistics of each event is made available to us. The students are responsible for their individual schedule, as not all of the listed events pertain to every student. Students are expected to attend evening rehearsals. If a student misses too many after-school rehearsals they may not be eligible to perform in the next concert. Student attendance at all performances is MANDATORY. Students will receive all details in class and in a timely manner concerning rehearsal and performance requirements. Monthly Booster letters are emailed at the beginning of every month and will be updated to show details and/or changes.

UNIFORMS
Music Department uniforms are professionally dry-cleaned each summer. At the beginning of the school year, Concert Band and Chorus students will be asked to make a donation to help with this cost. All students will then receive a uniform for use throughout the scholastic year.
CLEANING FEES: Marching Band Uniforms: $10
All band members will receive their marching band uniforms during the second and third week of school. The marching band uniform consists of a shako (hat), marching band jacket, and marching pants. All students need to have their own black shoes, and black socks. Students may use their own black pants to substitute for the issued black pants upon the approval of the band director.
CLEANING FEES: Gowns and Tuxes: $10
All music department boys will receive a concert tux and all girls will receive a concert gown during the month of November. The tux includes the jacket, pants, cummerbund, and bow tie. Boys need to provide their own black dress shoes, black socks, and white long sleeve dress shirt. Girls need to provide their own black nylons and black dress shoes.
PRIVATE LESSONS
We strongly encourage all of our students to take private lessons. A one-on-one lesson with a professional musician is the BEST way for your son/daughter to improve and reach his/her full potential. Lessons may help a student achieve the curriculum goals more readily and will definitely enhance the talent depth of the music department. Please see directors for more info.
BOOSTER ORGANIZATION
Please join us each and every month of the school year. Your input and presence is needed to make this department a success. The Boosters will meet in the Music Studio at 7pm the first Monday (except holidays) of each month. Stay on top of the latest news and plans. Help make this a wonderful experience for all of our students. We appreciate you. Thank you.
