Principal's Message
The second semester got off to a great start and as we move into what will hopefully be sunnier days and warmer weather, I would like to remind parents, teachers, and students about the importance of our final months of the school year! The months of March and April will quickly pass us by and May will be a whirlwind of end of the year activities and celebrations! Parents, please be sure to encourage your child to make the most of the last months of the year and strive toward achieving their goals!

Save the Children
The Save the Children Program is up and running at Chuckey Elementary School. The program provides an additional full-time staff member who provides literacy instruction for qualifying students during the school day. Additionally, the Save the Children partnership has provided Chuckey with an after-school program that provides literacy and health/wellness instruction for approximately 50 students for two hours each day Monday through Thursday with bus transportation provided for those who need it. This program is a welcome addition to our school and our academic focus on making sure students are becoming effective readers. Check out the link below to read about Child Literacy in the U.S.
