Arrival and Dismissal Traffic Reminders

Thank you for your help to keep our #PandaFamily safe! I know having the bridge out has placed a strain on our traffic flow. Hopefully it will be repaired when we return in the fall. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

  • PreK families may use the upper gravel lot during arrival and dismissal as well as the lower lot beyond the buses.

  • The upper gravel lot during dismissal is mainly used as overflow to safely reroute carpool families. PreK families parking here, must park in front of a concrete parking bumper. Please do not park around the big tree.

  • Kindergarten - 4th Grade families park in the gravel lot across from school.

  • Families should not pull up behind the cafeteria and park.

Traffic Patterns and Signs to Remember

  • PES Elementary School road is a two way street; attempting to pass the carpool line creates head on encounters.
  • We use a "Zipper" pattern for AM carpool arrival.
  • We use a "Two Lane" pattern for PM carpool dismissal.
  • Stop sign at McClenahan and West (64)
  • To access the upper gravel lot, you must enter through the carpool lane.

If you are an AM carpool family that arrives after 7:40 and are interested in completing a new traffic pilot to improve AM arrival, please fill out this form. We will be in contact with you. Thanks!

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration for the 2019-2020 school year opened on April 1. If you have a child, or know of a child, who will be 5 on or before August 31 please register now! This year kindergarten registration is online (Spanish Registration Link/English Registration Link). You will be able to register at home or we will have computers available in the main office. Upcoming Tree Removal at PES

This year we have experienced significant drainage and pipe issues at PES. Upon investigation, it was determined that the three large trees close to the building in front of the school are creating this issue. These trees have also begun to lift the sidewalk and if not addressed, will create building foundation issues in the future.

We wanted to reach to inform our family community that these three trees will be removed. The work will begin sometime this spring. Then over the summer we will have landscaping work to address the drainage issue.

We are looking for suggestions on the new landscaping and options for potential uses of the wood to benefit our school community. Some initial suggestions have been to donate for firewood to families in need and/or to create a piece of furniture or artwork to remain at the school. If you have other ideas or would like to support these efforts please email me.

PAWSitive Office Referrals - for students & staff

#WeCelebrate our #PandaFamily that have demonstrated our school PAWS expectations!! Positive Attitude - Always Be Respectful - Work Hard - Stay Safe.

Fill out this online form or a paper form in the main office and we will share during our morning announcements to refer a PES staff member for a #PAWSitiveOfficeReferral.
