Audiobook SYNC: Week Six
Every Thursday from now until the end of July, AudioFile Magazine is giving away a thematic pair of audiobooks to everyone who signs up for the program. Visit the 2021 SYNC Audiobooks page on the library website to find out how to participate.
This week's theme is, "Off to Paris.” This thematic pair includes Rook by Sharon Cameron. In this dystopian romance, Sophia Bellamy is leading a double life. By day she is set to marry in order to save her family from financial ruin. At night, she is the Red Rook, rescuing prisoners from the revolutionaries in post-apocalyptic Paris. In Salty, Bitter, Sweet, by Mayra Cuevas, teenaged chef Isa enters a cooking contest in France and finds romance along the way.
Both books are yours for 98 years, but they do need to be checked out by June 9th.

Weekly Recaps
UNIFIED TRACK by Anna Bianco:
This week was Unified Tracks last week to a short, but heartwarming season. Each and every athlete improved in all events throughout practice and meets. Not only did the athletes improve in their events, but they also enjoyed running, and being with each other as the season went on. Every practice and meet we had brought laughter and teamwork. We had a meet on Wednesday 6/2 at Falmouth High School against Falmouth and Sandwich. As the previous two meets, all three teams supported and cheered each other on. To end our season off, all three teams finished the 100 meter dash by running with each other to support Captain Brendan Pawlina to finish the race. Our Unified Track team was full of hardworking and joyful athletes. Thank you to Stella Linnell, Brady Grogan, Rory Farris, Grace Jodice, Jessie Horsfall, and co-captains Brendan Pawlina & Anna Bianco.
GIRLS GOLF by Charlotte Blute:
This week Girls golf finished our 2021 season. We teed off against Barnstable at the Hyannis Golf Club on Wednesday. Everyone on the team won their match, leaving the score 6-0. Everyone played very well and had a lot of fun. We finished the season undefeated, 8-0. Our senior captain, Jane Howard, played an amazing round on Wednesday for her last golf match of her high school career. Congrats Jane! Now onto practicing for Tournaments!
GIRLS LACROSSE by Leah Nash:
Girls lax had one game this week away at Martha’s Vineyard on Tuesday, coming away with a total team win beating the Vineyarders 11-6. Shoutout to Maddie Flaherty in net who made some amazing key saves and clears on the defensive end. Goals were scored by multiple players, including two from eighth grader Lucy Bates coming off the bench and making some great plays up on the attacking side of the field. Great work and effort came from the whole team. The girls have three super big games next week, so be sure to come out and support!!
