LIFE SCHOOL MOUNTAIN CREEK (SEP. 28)
Message from Mr. A,
Our doors are locked each day at 2:45 PM and they are not unlocked/opened until dismissal begins. During this time, there are transitions occurring, teachers are wrapping up instruction, and classes are preparing for the dismissal process. When a student is checked out prior to 2:45 PM it will count as an early pick-up. If your child has an appointment, please be sure to pick them up before 2:45 PM. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
As we continue to grow with the times, we are moving towards a "paperless" Thursday Exchange. You can view each week's newsletter online or on your phone using the following link http://mce.lifeschools.net/index.jsp and click on the Newsletter tab. We will also send this link in our teacher's weekly email. This will go into effect beginning in October.
Life School Communication
National Hispanic Heritage Month, began Sept. 15 and celebrates U.S. Latinos, their culture and their history. Started in 1968 by Congress as Hispanic Heritage Week. The week was expanded to a month in 1988. The celebration begins in the middle rather than the start of September because it coincides with national independence days in several Latin American countries: Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica celebrate theirs on Sept. 15, followed by Mexico on Sept. 16, Chile on Sept. 18 and Belize on Sept 21.
Please contact me, Mrs. McKenzie, your school counselor by Wednesday, October 4th to sign up to volunteer and/or donate materials as our Eagle Family works to bring the celebration to life for our students.
