Winter Parties
December 18th PM
This isn't considered flex time and you are asked to work from the building. Since it is work time, please feel free to have your children stay with you (just follow the same procedures as remote days). With this said, it is the start of winter break after a loooooong semester and I will be busy in the office with some things and won't be able to get back into the building much in the afternoon...so...feel free to take that statement whichever way that you would like to when deciding your plans for the afternoon.
Snacks
The intent of asking PTO to provide us a stash of snacks was because teachers were buying snacks for students and we were having students that truly needed a snack. If a student forgets occasionally, we have a backup. If the student's family is struggling, we have a backup.
This is not meant to supply a snack on a daily basis to the same students (unless for the reasons above).
If you have a student that is frequently forgetting a snack, it is important you share that with parents.
It is also important to double check the food allergies in your classroom before sending a student to get a snack. If a child has a food allergy, it may be best not to send them for a snack or to double check the snack as the students brings it back. Have questions about allergies? Refer to Bev.
