How To Add And Manage Bookmarks In Google Chrome

Throughout the year you have created your collection of all kinds of bookmarks. Which ones did your find most useful? Did you add some bookmarks, never to see them again?

Using the Bookmarks Manager, you'll be able to put things in the order in which you might want them.


The following steps will guide you to a "more organized" Google chrome.

Create a bookmark folder

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More .
  3. Click Bookmarks Bookmark Manager.
  4. At the top left, next to "Folders," click the Down arrow .
  5. Click Add Folder, then type a name for your folder.
  6. Drag bookmarks into your folder. Shift + click to select more than one item.

Alphabetize bookmarks

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More .
  3. Click Bookmarks Bookmark Manager.
  4. Browse to the folder you want to organize.
  5. Above your bookmarks, click Organize.
  6. Click Reorder by Title. Your bookmarks will be listed in alphabetical order.

Edit bookmark details

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More .
  3. Click Bookmarks Bookmark Manager.
  4. Point to the bookmark you want to edit.
  5. To the right of the bookmark, click the Down arrow .
  6. Click Edit.
  7. Edit the name or web address of your bookmark.

Move bookmarks


  1. Open the Chrome app .
  2. Tap More Bookmarks.
  3. Touch & hold a bookmark that you want to move. Tap other bookmarks that you want to move.
  4. At the top, tap Move folder .
  5. Tap the folder you want to move the bookmarks to.

Delete bookmarks

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More .
  3. Click Bookmarks Bookmark Manager.
  4. Point to the folder you want to delete.
  5. To the right of the folder, click the Down arrow .
  6. Click Delete. This will permanently delete all the bookmarks in that folder.
