ELO - Final Exam Review
Mrs. Wolff - S2017
Worth up to (15) Points on Your Lowest Test Grade!
Due Sunday, 5.7.17, before Midnight - No Exceptions!
Hi Everyone,
In order to help you to better prepare for your Final Exam, I am offering an Extra Learning Opportunity (ELO) that requires students to create their own Final Exam study guide.
In order to complete a comprehensive study guide, and to submit your ELO for full, earned credit (up to 10 points on your lowest test score), you must follow these steps:
- Your corrected questions and answers must be handwritten in order to receive credit - your brain will remember them better when you do so - copying / pasting / typing will not be accepted!
- Go back through all of the quizzes in the course, and write down the questions that you originally missed on each quiz / test and the important terms and lessons you learned this year:
- Write-down the correct answer to each question, and explain why it is correct.
- Write-down all important terms and their definitions - including literary and poetic devices, MLA Format, grammar / syntax / punctuation - etc., from each module that you learned this semester. Our American Lit/Comp-A course lessons / what you learned this year are within the first few pages of each module, and the assignment and test info are on the final pages of each module.
- Since this is a study guide, if you have had problems learning a specific term / device, you should also include any additional info that will help you to retain the lessons learned this year. EX: Which learned concepts did you learn with a specific story / poem? Include the line from the text, plus a a detailed analysis of why this line contains a conceit, metaphor, etc. - include all of the context. This can be added to the step, above, in the section where you are writing your literary devices, etc.
- Take a picture(s), or scan your completed study guide, to the Final Exam ELO Dropbox
- Make sure you are using a file extension that works with the GAVS platform.
- Test your Final Exam Study Guide after submitting to make sure it opens / is complete
Students who complete this task in its entirety, following the above directions, will receive up to (10) points on their lowest test grade this semester.
This ELO is due Sunday, 5.7.17, before midnight.
Best wishes on your EOC or Final Exam (you are taking one or the other - not both)!
