Schedules, Raider Rush for 9th Gr. New Student Orientation
We are excited to welcome you all back to school in a few short weeks! To give students and families an opportunity to prepare for the upcoming school year, we would like to share some important dates:
Wednesday, July 28 at 8am: Student Schedules released
Schedules will be released on Parent Portal for families to view. As Counselors and Administrators work to balance schedules, there is a chance your student's schedule may change before the first day of school. While this may only affect a small number of students, please be sure to have your student check their schedule in the Portal the night before the first day of school for their final schedule.
Thursday, July 29 from 1-3pm: New Student Orientation
This event is for rising 10th-12th grade students who will be new to NFHS this fall. Students will have the opportunity to meet administrators and counselors, receive a school tour, meet other new students, and receive more information about NFHS. Please note this event is for students only.
Monday, August 2 from 9-Noon: Raider Rush
This event is for all rising 9th grade students. Students will have the opportunity to meet administrators and counselors, receive a school tour, meet other freshmen and student leaders, and learn more about opportunities at NFHS. Please note this event is for students only. This event will begin in Raider Arena and end in the cafeteria. Please drop students off at Raider Arena and pick your student up at the front of the school.
Monday, August 2, 1-4pm: Raider Day
Returning NFHS students are welcome to come to campus to walk their schedules. Counselors will be available to answer any questions regarding schedules at this time.
As a reminder, we will not be making schedule changes. Schedule corrections will only occur for the following reasons:
- The student has already earned credit in the course
- The student has not met the pre-requisites for the course
- A senior needs a specific course to graduate
- The student needs a specific course to complete a pathway
- Administrative balancing of schedules
We look forward to seeing all our students back on campus soon!

Cafeteria Updates
NFHS Raider Cafe News :
It won't be long now .... ! We are looking forward to seeing our Raider students and staff back on campus soon. We are very excited about the upcoming school year and all the new and exciting things that will be going on in Raider Valley.
In April, our current administration voted for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to continue / extend the waiver for free meals for ALL students. What this means is ...
each student can pick up 1 free breakfast and 1 free lunch daily. The waiver has been extended until June 2022, so this program is scheduled to last this entire 2021-2022 school year.
More updates to follow as we receive changes and / or new information from our local Forsyth County Health Department.
Enjoy the rest of your summer - see you soon !
