Prairie Point's Volunteer Picnic
This May, date to be determined, Prairie Point Home and School will be having a volunteer picnic for our volunteers who go above and beyond and earn 3 or more volunteer points. We would like to show our appreciation to our volunteers and allow them to enjoy a picnic lunch with their children. As stated in the school directory, to be a part of the volunteer picnic you will need to earn 3 points. If you have volunteered to be a Committee Chair, you have earned your three points already! If you were unable to be a Committee Chair, you may earn a point by volunteering at the various Home and School events or for the committees, donating items for teacher appreciation and/or attending Home and School meetings. (The meetings are the 1st Thursday of every month.) Unfortunately, volunteering for the classroom teacher is not a part of Home and School and does not earn points. If you have any questions, please contact us at prairiepointhso@gmail.com.
Reading Rewards for your Student(s)
Prairie Point students have the opportunity to earn 30 minutes of free jump time at Sky Zone in Aurora!
Students need to read 5 books on their own or with a parent. Then, they may record the book titles on the Sky Zone provided bookmark (sent home this week via your child's Thursday folder). Students should have their teacher and parent sign the spaces to validate the reading achievement. Once the bookmark is completely filled in, simply bring the bookmark to Sky Zone Aurora to receive one free 30 minute jump pass. Happy reading!
