There's Still Time to Advocate for Gananda!

You may have heard that the Federal Government is providing stimulus funds to states in response to the global pandemic. We have concerns about how New York State is using this money and how it impacts Gananda CSD. We would like to ask for your help as we advocate for our schools. Please consider sending a letter to our legislative representatives. Templates for the letters and more information can be found on the Gananda website.

Reminder: Remember Your Water Bottle!

Please remember to have your student bring in a refillable water bottle during the school day. It is important for our students to stay hydrated and our water fountains are currently disabled due to safety precautions with COVID19. We do have our water bottle fill stations available for use if students need to fill their water bottles during the day. Thank you!

Attention 5th Grade Parents, we need your help!

As per tradition, we would like to ensure our 5th graders receive a Memory Book that holds all their memories from their past years. Be on the lookout for a communication through ParentSquare and we invite you to join the Gananda Class of 2028 Facebook group.

We need your assistance in gathering the following items for your children, please submit all items by April 5th:

1) Baby Picture (2 years or younger)

2) Current photo of your child

3) A sentence or two as a parent message to your child that will be included on his/her own page in the memory book

4) 10+ pictures of your child during their time in elementary school - this can be alone or with other Gananda grade school friends and does not necessarily have to be pictures at the school. Please upload them directly to the Facebook Group or e-mail them to Meghan Piccarreto at mpiccarreto@williamsoncentral.org.

Any questions, please e-mail tmilillo2@gmail.com or send a message on Facebook. Thanks!

Purchase a Tile and Support Gananda Dollars for Scholars

Have you ever wondered what those tiled walls at the three schools were all about? Gananda Dollars for Scholars started the walls in 1996 as a way to commemorate loved ones, special events, or advertise a business. Each year, the money raised from the sale of Foundations of the Future commemorative tiles funds scholarships to graduating seniors continuing their education. Visit the Gananda website for more information about the Foundations of the Future Tiles and how you can order one.

Amazon Smile

Order from AmazonSmile! Designate Gananda Dollars for Scholars as your charity of choice at no cost to you. Amazon will donate .5% of your purchase. Over $800 has been raised to date! Sign up today!

Did you know that you can start gathering volunteer hours as soon as you leave 8th grade? Just download a volunteer log from the Gananda Dollars for Scholars webpage, and start recording your high school volunteer experience!
