2024 Support a Graduate: Create a Scholarship!
Unlock the potential of our graduating seniors by offering a scholarship! If you're interested (or know someone who might be), please submit the 2024 Scholarship Participation Form by March 15, 2024.
Your support truly makes a meaningful impact!
The Chomp club writers and Introduction to Journalism student writers put together this month's issue featuring the theme of motivation. We hope you become inspired by Gators around you, challenge yourself this month, love yourself because you deserve to, and find what drives you to become the best version of yourself.
Reminder, middle school students must be supervised by a parent/guardian to attend sporting events.
Dental Hygienist Internship
Congratulations to senior Ava Purcell who will be interning with Wyckoff and Associates Dentistry.
Dr. Wyckoff is a Gator alumnus and a former Board member who continues to support the Gators by participating in Career Day and allowing interns to shadow his staff. We are truly grateful to him and his partnership with us is invaluable to our students.
What a fantastic opportunity senior business students Jake Garrett and Jack Keller have interning under the guidance of Bill Hoffman and Alex Nelson at Hoffman’s Exterminating. Bill has developed contracts with most of the Philadelphia sports teams and has locations in different states.
Bill is a fantastic mentor because he understands that business is about building relationships and having integrity, and he is abundant in both!
Congratulations to Jake and Jack! You will learn so much and make great connections in the coming months with this innovative team.
Girls Who Code-Free Virtual Summer Programs Overview
Our free virtual summer programs are open to 9-12th graders who identify as girls or non-binary. Any coding experience level is welcome!
In addition to our free programs, we offer a financial support grant of up to $300 and laptop and hotspot access for eligible students.
This year, students can choose to learn new coding skills in game design, web design, cybersecurity, or data science and artificial intelligence! As they build computer science skills, students will learn about the many diverse careers in tech through virtual events with professionals in the field.
Students receive priority consideration if they apply at girlswhocode.com/summerapply by February 14, 2024. Regular-decision applications are due by March 22, 2024.
Career and College Readiness
Do you have big plans after graduation? We want to hear about your acceptance: College or University, Trade or Career Program, or Armed Forces of the United States. Please email Dr. Pierro with your acceptance letter. We would like to give you the recognition you deserve in the newsletter and morning announcements!
Winter Sports Spectators
Please note as the winter sports season approaches that students are not allowed to hang out after school to attend a game. At the end of the school day, students should leave school and may return about 20 minutes before the contest starts. We will be enforcing our spectator policy. Students should show their ID for admission and middle school students must be accompanied by a guardian.
If athletes are staying after school for a later contest, they must report to the area their coach has designated after school.
Thank you for your cooperation.
