Switching Over to New D103 Firewall
Later today, Sept. 25, between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m., we will be switching over to our new firewall. If your student is using a district issued iPad at this time there should be no noticeable interruption of internet connection, unless the VPN is currently turned on. If you do notice a disruption in connection, please visit our technology help resources website to follow the directions to turn off the VPN. If your student is using a personal device, there will be no effect on internet connection.
Once we are confident that the new firewall is working as it should, we will begin to ask certain grade levels to turn the VPN back on. By turning the VPN back on, we will then be able to more effectively filter the content on your student's iPad. This process only applies to district issued iPads.
Thank you for your patience as we work toward providing a more secure digital environment for all of our D103 students, and please be on the lookout for additional information next week.

Election Judges Sought
There is a nationwide shortage of poll workers (election judges) for this Nov. 3 election. Many existing election judges are elderly, more susceptible to Covid and have declined to work this year. Public Citizen and other non partisan groups are recruiting younger, less vulnerable workers to help assure elections this year are safe, secure, fully staffed with no elimination of polling places or action disrupting the election.
Please consider helping out at your local polling place.
