Meet Mrs. Tolson
Cherry Valley Elementary's Principal
With 21 years of experience in Douglas County School District, I have spent 11 of those in administrative roles. As an elementary school administrator and former classroom teacher, I have extensive hands-on experience supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom. I'm excited to lead Cherry Valley Elementary because of its unique family-centered, rural setting rooted in deep relationships within the community.
I grew up in Nebraska and attended Nebraska Wesleyan University where I graduated with two degrees: Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Bachelor of Science in Special Education. | I earned my Master's degree in Leadership and Administration from Jones International University. | I served as a classroom teacher, Assistant Principal, and Principal at Heritage Elementary in Highlands Ranch for 18 years and most recently guided the development of the elementary eLearning program for over 2,000 students! |

All About Me
I moved to Colorado in 2001 and love the 300 days of sunshine each year! A few of my favorite things are reading, visiting the beach, and walking our dogs. My husband David and I have four children. Grace is 22 years old and will be a senior at San Diego State University in California. Hannah is 20 years old and will be a junior at Colorado State University. Cade is 20 years old and working full time. Our youngest, Lilly, is 17 and will be a senior at Valor Christian High School. We enjoy listening to their stories, skiing, traveling, and celebrating life's special moments together. We also have two dogs and two cats who bring us much joy.
