WHAT WE ARE LEARNING NEXT WEEK
Writing: We will begin our poetry unit, learning to identify and use poetic elements (including rhyme, line breaks and rhythm). I can study the way author’s write poems.
Word Study: We will learn about conjunctions and how to collect and organize special words.
Social Studies: I can use geographic tools to create a map of my community and can identify major landforms and bodies of water through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Science: I can measure, record and graph weather information regarding temperature using the appropriate tools. I can record and organize the data collected in a way that makes sense.
Math: I can represent numbers up to 1,200 using standard, word, and expanded forms.

- Friday, January 29th - Dress like a 100 year old (Kindness Never Gets Old)
PORTRAITS FOR YEARBOOK
If you were not able to come to school to get your child’s picture taken for the yearbook, please feel free to send them to your child’s designer. You can have your child stand in front of any plain background (white wall is fine), and take a picture. Please make sure the picture is not blurry. Please use the following picture as an example. Email your child’s picture to their designer by February 3rd, 2021 with your child’s full name and the word portrait in the subject line. Example below:
