Northland Bowling

Friday, Nov. 8th, 1-3pm

Cost: $6.00 per person, This includes shoe rental.

Donations will be accepted for the Centre County PAWS. Please see below for more information. We will then deliver them after the bowling to the shelter at:

1401 Trout Rd.

12:45pm-1:00pm - Arrival, sign ins and payments

1:00pm - 3:00pm - Bowling, socializing, learning to keep score and community building

3:00pm - 3:30pm - Travel to Centre County PAWS

3:30pm - 4:15pm - Deliver donations, learn about shelter needs from site.

Purpose of the Outing

Learning Objectives

-Students will demonstrate their knowledge of the sport of bowling

-Students will be able to make new relations with others attending the school

-Gather donations for local animal shelter

-Deliver donations to shelter & learn about needs for shelter animals

Students may log 60 minutes of Language Arts and 60 minutes of PE time on the OLS for this outing. .


$6.00 per bowler. This includes the shoe rental if needed. Payment will be collect by FSC Smith at the site. Please try and have exact amount as I do not always remember to bring change.

Centre County PAWS

Centre County PAWS was established in 1980. For almost 40 years we have been committed to finding forever homes for cats and dogs, educating citizens on responsible pet ownership, providing spay/neuter assistance, and ending pet overpopulation. We are a non-euthanasia, member supported, volunteer enabled organization dedicated to the Promotion of Animal Welfare and Safety.

PAWS Needs

Possible donations for the Animal Shelter:

  • Trash bags - 50 gallon
  • Kitten food - Dry food, dye free
  • Grain free Cat food
  • Paper towels & windex
  • Dishwasher liquid - gel
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Postage Stamps
  • 8.5 x 11 Copy Paper
  • White out fluid
  • Monetary donations

Important Reminders

  • An adult chaperone must stay on-site for all PA Virtual events.
  • Shoes must be worn at all times.
  • Pets should never be brought to PA Virtual events.
  • To limit the spread of possible flu, please do not attend a PA Virtual event if you have had a fever within 24 hours of the event.
  • In consideration of our students with allergies, please refrain from bringing balloons or food containing nut products.
  • All PA Virtual events are weapon, drug ,and tobacco free. Please double check your pockets before arriving at sign-in.
