Falcon Flyer
Week 22 (February 10-14)
Principal Message
I am very proud of the dedication we put forth at Parent-Teacher Conferences last week for traditional students.
As a reminder, we could easily get picked in the near future for a "site visit' with board members and the academic team and we want to be on point daily. Make sure you have a PBO on your board daily with the standard number you are teaching. All words of the week should be present on all classroom boards and your "What are you Reading" sign should be updated outside of your classroom. Classrooms should also be neat and clean.
I am noticing that we have lost our focus in certain pockets of the school for our weekly schedule at 8:15 during homeroom. If you have deviated from the schedule that we set at the beginning of the year, please revert back to it. This is a non-negotiable for all.
I would love to see Math and ELA teachers post some sort of data in their classrooms about Edmentum Trophies. Think about this and let me know your thoughts. We need to continue to push this program!
Congratulations to Mrs. York - BSMS Teacher of the Year!
Academic Curriculum Updates
ELA and Math teachers need to discuss EOG growth charts with all students by Friday, February 21st. Please make this a priority. This Thursday is a great time for you to do this with your students. If you decide to do this as a team, I will support that as well. However, it may be more meaningful to come from the teacher that teaches the subject.
If you other parents to contact regarding Level 2 and 3 focus students, please continue to make these phone calls and have parents to come in to meet with you. This is a continued effort on all fronts.
