Blaze Bulletin
Edition 17 - Week of January 11th
Greetings
Dear teachers,
As we come across events and opportunities to support our focus areas for this semester (ACT, TNReady, Critical Reading), we will supply you with information of those opportunities or materials. You will see reading strategies in your boxes and/or updated on the OneDrive. You will be given information on PD (example, see below for SHMOOP info). If you find anything or know of anything that we can share with others, just forward it to me!
Have a great weekend - and do not do the snow dance!

Teachers, we need You!
Later this month, students, who recently applied to the Collegiate Academy, will need to be interviewed and their writing samples reviewed. This is where you come in! We need all the help we can get and would love for you to be apart of this!
From January 19th - January 27th (with the exception of January 22nd - that's a Friday!) we need volunteers to stay after school 3:30 - 6:00.

Students can complete individualized, web-based assignments at home or at school. You can also use Shmoop resources for whole-group instruction. We have Mitch Miller from Shmoop coming on Tuesday January 12 from 3:45 until 4:45 in G21. Everyone is encouraged to attend - especially AP teachers and anyone who teaches a specific ACT subtest (English, math, science, any literacy course - which is everyone!). You will receive one hour of inservice credit for attending. Email or call Holly to sign up. Let’s get Shmooping!
