Please let us know how virtual parent-teacher conferences went this fall. Use this link to give us your feedback. We would like to know what went well and what needs improvement.
Monday night is our virtual State of the School and Annual Title 1 Parent Meeting. We would love to have as many parents as possible in attendance of our meeting. Please see the event link above to sign up for the RSVP. We will send the link in an email on Monday. This is a night where we get to tell you about our school, ways you can help, and what is different this year.
The past few weeks we have been busy MAP testing our students in reading, writing, and language usage. We have been very pleased with the students' growth in testing despite the pandemic that forced our doors to close this spring. Thank you for sharing your children with us! Remember, if you would like your children to return to the school 5 days/week please just call the school and let us know. We are happy to see all our students' faces each week.
This week is going to be a busy week at Bayyari with the Flu Shot Clinic and Fall Picture Day! Please send exact change with your child for picture day or order online. We do not have change. Also, please send your student's picture money on picture day and not before. We do not want to be responsible for lost picture day money. Thank you!
As always, we are here to help! Please contact us at (479)750-8760 or email us at bayyariinfo@sdale.org.

If any virtual or blended students (who won't attend school in the building on October 7th) are interested in receiving a flu shot, please visit the link below for more information or contact Nurse Alicia at (479)750-8760. You will need to complete the paperwork and turn it in to Nurse Alicia prior to the flu clinic day. Nurse Alicia will count you in our school clinic numbers and you may bring your child to the school that morning for the flu shot. The paperwork can be found at the webstie below.

Halloween is approaching.
How is your family planning on celebrating?
I am not sure how you feel, but I am a little concerned about celebrating Halloween the traditional way with my own kids this year. I have been doing a little research to see how other families feel about it. I found a great article giving great tips and suggestions for spending Halloween at home or in quarantine if that is what you choose or have to do this year. The article I read at www.connecticutchildrens.org titled “14 Ways to Celebrate Halloween During COVID-19, Even in Quarantine” gave great ideas. Some of these ideas really sounded like some good family fun. This is also a great way to spend time with your children and make lasting memories. I listed some of my favorites below.
1. DIY Decorations
2. Make or learn a Halloween dance
3. Movie Night (there are some cute child appropriate Halloween movies out there
4. Reading Hour- Halloween themed of course
5. Homemade Treats
6. Camp out that night
7. Halloween themed party by zoom
8. Scavenger Hunt for the family
9. Family Photo’s- make the props
