Morning Drop off and Afternoon Pick up Procedures
Morning Drop off:
- The front circle is for bus traffic only.
- Do not unload cars in the yellow areas.
- Please pull as far forward as possible in the drop off lane. Have students exit the car on the passenger side for safety.
- The drop off lot is not a good place for families to park in since there is a lot of traffic, if you are walking your child to the playground, please park on the street.
- The drop off lane is designed for one way traffic.
- The drop off lane doors are locked at 8:00.
- Give yourself a few extra minutes, especially when the weather is bad.
Afternoon Pick up:
- Do not park in the yellow areas on the roadways, these are painted yellow to keep our crosswalks and corners open.
- Please do not park in the staff parking lot to pick up your child. Vehicles leaving the parking stalls in the pick up lane only slow down traffic.
- If your child takes more time to get to the pick up lane, consider being a little farther back in the pick up line.
- Please be prompt, our pick up lane is finished by 3:10 each day.
- If you are asked to circle around, please be courteous to our staff, your child's safety and keeping the line moving are our top priority.
- Please use crosswalks at all times and model safe behavior for our students. DO NOT run between cars.
Most importantly, be patient and safe. A extra minute or two of time is not worth a student accident.

September Title 1 Tip What is Title 1 Reading?
Title 1 is a federally-funded, general education support program. The goal of Title 1 Reading is to provide extra reading help and instruction for struggling students.
• Title 1 instruction is specialized reading instruction that is provided through the cooperation of the classroom teacher and the Title 1 Reading teacher. This supplements classroom instruction.
• Supplemental Reading instruction with the Title 1 Reading teacher will be in small groups, three to five times weekly for approximately 20-30 minutes each session.
• Title 1 is a supplemental program. This can be illustrated as some students needing an “extra snack of reading” during their day. We identify students in need of assistance and offer them extra instruction. The “main course” of reading is not enough instruction for these students. Parents are contacted in order to begin the supplemental reading instruction with their child.

October Character Trait- Responsibility
To be fully prepared to participate as active, contributing members of our society and world our children need to learn to be responsible for themselves, others and the environment. This deeper level of responsibility or social responsibility includes an awareness and growing appreciation of our connectedness to and interdependence on each other and our environment.
