Fundraising

At various times throughout the year, families are given opportunities to participate in different fundraising initiatives. To provide more clarity about what the fundraising is for, a breakdown of different activities is listed below:

School Fundraisers

This includes things like the Milk Program, school-wide fundraisers such as Little Caesars Pizza and the "Joy" Holiday catalogue fundraiser (more information below). Money raised from these fundraisers go directly to student activities such as guest speakers and workshops, to help offset field trip costs and to go towards our Yard Enhancement fund.

Graduating Class Fundraisers

The Grade 8 class fundraiser goes towards the cost of graduation and help to offset the cost of the year end graduation trip.

School Council Fundraisers

The School Council organizers fundraisers such as Hot Lunch, Halloween Family Dance and the Spring Carnival. Funds from these initiatives go towards the School Council goals to enhance learning opportunities for all students. In previous years the SAC has supported the purchase of Brain Bikes, flexible classroom materials, yard improvements, and field trips.

It should be noted that although there are a number of fundraising initiatives, these are voluntary and no family should feel obligated to participate.

We are currently in the process of finalizing our Fundraising Plan for this school year and will send home more details once they become available. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school.

"Joy" Holiday Catalogue Fundraiser

Our first school-wide fundraising campaign will run from October 15 to October 26. Each family will receive a catalogue called "2018 Joy" and instructions on how to order from the catalogue. This is an ONLINE fundraiser only. Please do not send orders forms, cash or cheques to the school. To order online, you will need to register online using the school/group ID code (7134) and the 7-digit number found at the top left corner of the pink order form that comes with the catalogue. You will also be given options to share the link/code with family and friends so they can shop too! You will have the option to ship to the school or directly to you. We will arrange a date for pick up once the shipment date is confirmed.
