Dear Pingree Community,
Welcome December! We are looking forward to a full, yet fun month ahead.
We had a great week at Pingree this week. Kids came back from Thanksgiving break ready to learn. Thursday, Grade 5 went on an amazing field trip to Holly Hill Farms. Check out the pictures! We also started our spirit days on Friday. It was great to see the students getting into the holiday spirit!

Dear Parents:
Kindergarten registration for next year will be opening soon so to prepare for sibling placements we are asking you to take a moment to fill out this brief survey. Given rising enrollments in classrooms across the district, the knowledge of siblings is more important than ever to prepare our classes. Weymouth High School has Career Technical Education (CTE) students who would make a wonderful addition to your team.

Co-operative Job Opportunities provide students with practical skills and knowledge in various fields.
Weymouth High School is a comprehensive school offering a ten program Career and Technical Education Department including Allied Health, Automotive Technology, Construction Technology, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Drafting and Design Technology, Early Childhood Education, Graphic Communication, Information Technology, and Metal Fabrication. All ten programs are approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and as such, are closely monitored by the DESE.

Weymouth Food Pantry and WPS
The Weymouth Food Pantry has partnered with Weymouth Public Schools to continue the Backpack Program, which provides food to participating students weekly to meet their nutritional needs over the weekend. Bags include items such as juice boxes, granola bars, mac & cheese cups, goldfish crackers, and milk. The menu will vary weekly.
Teachers and staff will pack a bag for each child and place it in their locker on Friday morning. Children can pick up their backpack bag when they leave school on Friday. These bags are free, open to all students, and sponsored by the Weymouth Food Pantry.
