I'm Stealing This From Mr. Knipper

Craig is the guy in the song that reaches out to help Walker at a low point in his life. See Walker had a record deal it fell through and life got tough for Walker, his wife, and their six kids. That's the gist, listen to it, you'll get the rest.

Why's it has stuck with me? There are times in life that we don't always like the person we see in the mirror. I know I try to be more like "Craig"... always happy, perform random acts of kindness, and someone others can count on, I know there are times I fall short. That's the beautiful thing about feeling like you fail at times. It is that reflective time to change your mindset back to what you need in life.

It's really easy to become cynical when we hear the same stories over and over from our families. It's really easy to get in that cynical mindset when their daily reality differs from ours. It boils down to one thing, we have to try to do what is best for our kids. Build relationships with our kids and their families the best we can. Even when our realities, morals, and life choice generally vary greatly. Sometimes all they might need is their own "Craig" #BeTheCraig

WHERE

FORT WAYNE, IN

MORE INFORMATION

Our first Guys Night Out! Mr.Knipper and I are going to start rotating each month between a guys night and girls night out. Many of our kiddos never get to leave Albion/Wolf Lake area so we want to give them that opportunity as well as show them what it is to have good role models. I will be asking for volunteers to help with this after break! The Outdoor Sports Show is at the Coliseum that night. Lumber Jack Shows, Archery, Fishing Demos, Indoor Kayaking. I'll work out the details but let's plan on this that night. Not sure how many kids we can take but we will work it all out.

Snow and Recess

After posing my question to you all and looking at the feedback that I got, we will make the following changes to recess when it concerns snow and cold weather. I will send a letter home letting parents know that we will not be requiring students to have boots and snow pants....etc to play on the equipment and swings, but they will be required to have them to play in the grass field if there is snow. Parents and students will be made aware that if they choose to play on the equipment, swings...etc and aren't properly dressed they will have to deal with the consequence (being wet) of their choice.

  • If they are not wearing boots or snow pants they may play on the play ground equipment, swings, black top, and gaga pit.
  • If they are not wearing boots, snow pants....etc they can't play kickball or in the grass field where there is snow.
These changes will take place after we get back from Christmas Break. Thank you all for your feedback as I value your input!
