Teach Your Valentine to Skygaze!

Join us as the NH Astronomical Society visits HUES!

Thursday Feb 9, 2017 7-8:30pm @ HUES

All students in grades preK-6 are invited to attend this FREE EVENT with their families. It will begin at 7pm at the Hollis Upper Elementary School and go until ~8:30pm. The telescopes will be available to use with guidance of some of our local astronomy experts until approximately 8:30pm. Our 5th graders are currently learning about astronomy and stargazing apps and therefore we are encouraging all of them to come! Please help us get an estimate of how many people will be joining us (so we have enough telescopes) by filling out this brief survey: http://goo.gl/forms/grxlK3PrdA

If the skies are cloudy, we will send out a PowerAnnouncement rescheduling the event to Monday February 13th 7pm.

7:00pm -7:30pm Indoor Presentation on Tonight's Sky

7:30pm - 8:30pm Stargazing on HUES fields

Please dress warm. Do not wear light-up sneakers. If you bring a flashlight please be prepared to turn it off when we begin stargazing, so we can eliminate as much "light pollution" as possible.

Keep an eye on the sky!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Nicole Tomaselli, Curriculum Administrator for the Hollis School District nicole.tomaselli@sau41.org. This is a school sponsored event.
