Holy Week begins THIS coming Sunday with Palm Sunday! May your last few days of Lent be filled with prayer and growth!


Updates for this week-


- The permission slip for the field trip to the Discovery Science Center will be coming home this week. Please make sure to return it by Friday, March 18th. I think we are all set on drivers. If that changes I will make to email everyone ASAP. Thank you to those who have already volunteered to drive! We appreciate you time! Thank you!


-Report Cards will be ready to view on Friday, March 18th. Please make sure to log-on to Sycamore on Friday afternoon to check your student's progress. There are also optional parent-teacher conferences on Friday beginning at 1pm. The schedule is available on Sycamore.

What We Are Learning....

Religion and Family Life:

-We explore God's gift of our Self and how we show respect to ourselves and others.


Mathematics:

-We will simplify fractions.

-We will multiply fractions.

-We will solve word problems with fractions.

-Sprial Review- 2 digit multiplication and long division


Language Arts:

-We determine cause and effect in selections.

-We apply new vocabulary skills.

-We use irregular verbs in our writing.

-We make choices to show our writing process.


Social Studies:

-We describe the effects on Alta California of the Mexican War for Independence.

-We explain how the Mexican War for Independence affected borders in North America.


Science:

-We experiment and analyze different types of fruit and seeds.

-We create and engineer a new type of seed for wind dispersal.
