Admin Corner

It was very fun to interact with students both virtually and in real life during the Husky Pup Fun Run this week. We couldn't be more proud of our students, staff, families, community members, and of course MES PTO Board for their efforts to pull off our first ever VIRTUAL Fun Run. We thank everyone for their generosity and hard work!

Our attendance goal is to have 98% present and engaged in both live sessions and asynchronous work. This past week, we had approximately 97% attendance in live classes. Way to go! Please remember that the school day does not end with the Zoom lesson. Students should continue to engage in their asynchronous classwork in Google Classroom.

As always, if your student is not able to attend school, please call the attendance line stating your reason for absence at (760) 934-7162.

Independent Study

If you are considering requesting an Independent Study Contract, you must contact the school with at least five days notice in order to notify teachers and prepare materials. Thank you for your understanding.

Lunch Program

Free school lunches are available from MUSD for all families. Pick up is between 12-1pm at Mammoth High School or Crowley Lake Community Center.

We still encourage all families to fill out an online meal application form. Click here to fill out your meal application online.

Husky Pup Fun Run

The Husky Pup Fun Run has been a huge success so far. It was incredibly fun to see all the students out running, biking, scootering and more this past week.

We would like to give a big thank you to Lindsay Barksdale for spearheading the organization of the event along with president Lizzie Lipman, volunteer coordinator Nicollette Alvarado, and the entire MES PTO board. We are so grateful for your support. We'd also like to thank the community, students, parents, guardians, and businesses around town who helped make this event so successful. It's not too late to turn in those last minute donations to help us reach our fundraising goal. Cash can be turned in to the MES office Monday-Wednesday before 3:00pm.

Sponsor Spotlight: Elixir and Bleu

We are so excited to announce the launch of our new Local Business Support Campaign! This campaign is our way of telling our amazing sponsors thank you for supporting our school. Coming off the success of our Fun Run, our sponsors have shown us that they will continue to support us not only in good years, but in hard years, as well. We couldn't be more grateful for all of them!

Spotlight Businesses of the Week:

Elixir Superfoods and Juice

Bleu Handcrafted Foods

To participate, visit any Spotlight Business during that week. When you checkout, show them your Local Business Supporter card to receive a hole punch on your card. Once you collect 10 punches, you will win a small prize from the PTO as thank you for helping us support our supporters!

Local Business Supporter cards were included in the Fun Run bags, but if you did not receive one, we will be leaving extra cards at both Elixir and Bleu.

Let's all show Elixir and Bleu just how much we appreciate them!
