Thank you for your feedback! We asked you to describe our school in one word and here is what we got! Please know that we cannot do this work without our supportive families.

Updates & Friendly Reminders

Family Reading Night is THIS THURSDAY! We can't wait to see you! Come enjoy some family literacy activities and even stop by to say hello to our special little furry guests from Fox Valley Therapy Dogs. We can't wait to see you!

Friendly Reminder: Don't forget to turn in your Dragons in a Bag Scavenger Hunts and send them in to school!

On Tuesday this week, Mrs. Cryer and Mrs. Sam will be presenting to the Sandwich #430 Board of Education about our Wilson Fundations Curriculum. Want to come learn more and see some of our awesome Woodbury students in action? The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. at Sandwich Middle School.

We will be hosting a bullying and online safety parent presentation at our school this month (details below). This is a hard topic for kids and a worrisome topic for parents of kids of all ages. We hope to see you there! This is an adult presentation and a student presentation will also be scheduled in March.

A survey was sent out to gather ideas for engaging our students and families more. We were so happy to get so many thoughtful responses and to hear your ideas. This helps us tremendously with planning and supporting our families with what they need or things they would love us to try. The survey deadline has ended, but you are still welcome to share your ideas with us. You can access the survey here.

You're invited! We will be hosting our first Coffee and Conversation on Friday, March 3rd from 7:45-8:45 a.m. Our first topic will be on social emotional learning and behavior. Come grab a warm cup of coffee in the staff lounge after you have dropped off your student on the playground and join Mrs. Kern and a few staff members for conversation centered on social emotional learning. This will be a great opportunity to learn and support each other! Watch for a flyer in your child's folder and please RSVP below!

Thank you for supporting our Woodbury PPA's Bundt Cake Fundraiser! We are excited to be planning some upcoming activities supported by our Woodbury PPA. Interested in how you can help out and bring some of those ideas shared in our surveys to life? Events are not possible without the help our families and volunteers. The PPA meets the last Thursday of every month and would love to see you! If you can't attend, but would love to help out you can email ppawoodbury@gmail.com.

Our staff will be hosting a 5 B's BBQ Fundraiser in March. Throughout the pandemic we wanted to respect the hard times our families were facing and did not want to ask them to give more. We are hoping to raise more money for our Woodbury Activity Fund in order to provide more activities, events, assemblies and more at our little school. We hope you will spread the word and join us! Details below.

Don't forget to check out the celebrations and district news below.

Coffee & Conversation: Social Emotional Learning & Behavior

Friday, March 3rd, 7:45-8:45am

322 East 3rd Street

Sandwich, IL

Do you want to learn more about social emotional learning and behavior? There is no one size fits all way to support children. Young children are learning every day how to manage and regulate all of their emotions and feelings as they experience and take in the world around them. Join us for a warm cup of coffee and let's share ideas, learn together and support one another. This event is intended to be relaxed and serve as a support for parents/guardians who want to learn more, parents who may be in need of advice or support, and for those who simply want to help others and share their own journey. We hope you will join us! PLEASE RSVP by February 24th.

RSVPs are enabled for this event.

Check out our great work!

2023 Sandwich Education Foundation Casino Night

The Sandwich Education Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed in 1994 to enhance the educational opportunities for the students of Sandwich C.U.S.D. #430. The Board of Trustees is made up of parents, teachers, and local business owners who volunteer their time to help support and enrich our schools.

Our biggest fundraiser this year is our Casino Night and Silent Auction, which will be held on April 15, 2023, at the Fox Valley Older Adults Community Center in Sandwich. Doors open at 6:00 and the casino games will open from 7:00-10:00. At the event, you will be able to test your luck on popular casino games like craps, roulette, and blackjack. Don’t worry you won’t be playing for real money so you can take a risk and bet big to help our students. We will also have dealers on hand to help teach games to our less experienced guests. Appetizers will be served and there will also be a silent auction and raffles. This event is always a fun night and a great way to support our schools. Tickets are $25 each and are available in the main office of each school or online by clicking this link.
