Message From Principal Appiah-McNulty:

“ May the first day of April bring with it much peace, love, joy, passion & purpose into your life…”

-Trudy Vesotsky

Dear RMS Families,

Third quarter is complete and we now find ourselves in the last quarter of the year. As we push forward to end the school year, we continue to be thankful for your support. While COVID-19 has created many learning opportunities, our staff and students have risen to those opportunities this school year. Quarter after quarter, we saw an increase of students in the building (currently over 500 warm bodies in the building). We also have seen an increase in academic performance as the year progressed. Even though there were difficulties with multiple platforms of learning , we have not only all adjusted but we are now in a positive learning trajectory with our students. Therefore as we finish the year, it is essential that all families continue to encourage students to attend classes, log onto google meets for instruction, complete assignments, and be aware of protocols for the ACT Aspire Summative Exam.

Finally, here are some of the things to be aware of that will impact your child through the end of May. Thank you for being a partner in your child’s education and we appreciate the support you have given throughout the year.

Upcoming Events:

  • RMS Honor Roll Celebration- Congratulations to all students who made the honor roll this third quarter! We will hold a small celebration for the students on Tuesday, April 6th. This celebration is for students only. For the last quarter honors celebration, families will receive an invitation to attend. Thank you for understanding!

  • RMS Family Engagement Night- Students and families are invited to come and learn more about Schoology, student improvement opportunities, and resources on Wednesday, April 14th at 5:00pm. We will serve a light meal. Please RSVP by Friday, April 9th.

Mrs. Appiah-McNulty
