From Nurse Thorpe
Keeping up with your child's food choices during the school year is very important! Starting your child's day with a healthy breakfast and packing a healthy lunch -one that your child will actually eat - can be tricky, but it's SO important. Proper nutrition can affect your kid's energy throughout the school day and even impact his or her absorption of knowledge.

Learning about Communities
We are in the season of self-reflection, gratitude, and giving. In addition to our focus of spreading kindness, we are learning about the word "empathy". Your student is learning about global perspective by considering their actions and how they may impact others. Giving does not have to always be tangible goods. Giving can also be extended through a kind word, simple gesture, or simply providing a listening ear. Let's commit to giving others something that will increase a deposit in their emotional bank account.
"When you are kind to others, it not only changes you, it changes the world.” – Harold Kushner
