Principal's Message

December has arrived, and the Christmas concert practices are in full swing! This is a great time of year to walk the halls at Elmdale School, as you will hear the choir singing beautiful music. Our students have been working very hard to prepare for this year's Christmas Concert. We look forward to seeing all our Elmdale families and friends at this year's concert titled Sharing Christmas. Please see the note below for further details.

Thank you to all the parents that were able to make this past month's student-led conferences. Our staff truly appreciate spending time with each family to share the learning that each child experiences here at Elmdale School.

I want to take a moment and wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year. I hope that everyone is able to take advantage of family time over the Christmas break.

Looking ahead to the New Year! I wish everyone health and happiness and I look forward to continuing to serve all of our Elmdale families.

Christmas Concert

Tuesday, December 19 at Steinbach Mennonite Church, 345 Loewen Blvd.

Performance 1 (K-4) at 1:30 pm
Performance 2 (Gr. 1-4) at 7:00 pm

Grandparents and extended family are encouraged to attend the afternoon performance. For the evening performance, students are expected to arrive 6:35-6:45 pm, and guest seating begins after 6:40 pm. Every student plays an important role in the Christmas concert, so all students are strongly encouraged to attend. If unable to attend, please let Miss Redekop and the classroom teacher know.

Community Christmas

Elmdale students are collecting non-perishable food items for South East Helping Hands. We are also collecting NEW toys. We will be collecting items from Nov.27th-Dec.8th.

It is wonderful to see the spirit of giving in our school as we build our sense of community and citizenship to look out for those around us.

Thank you to all our Elmdale families and students who are able to bring in some items for our community Christmas drive!

Family Parking

Located in our main parking lot on the North side of our school, we have our Family Parking lot. This is where all families park to pick up and drop off children. Parents must walk their child from their vehicle to the school playground. Please be aware that at these pick up and drop off times, we have school buses that enter and exit the school parking lot.

Bus Times, Routes & Address Changes

Please check our website for the bus pick up times and location near your house.
If your address has changed, please call transportation at 204-320-2347 to make sure that your children are riding the correct bus to and from school.
