January 2023 Newsletter
Grades for GCPS Milestones Benchmark Assessments, Semester 1 Final Exams, and Midyear Assessments will be finalized in January upon return from Winter Break. When scores for these assessments are available, teachers will enter them, and the grades will be visible in the GCPS Parent Portal. Grades will be finalized by Saturday, January 14th.
If you don't have a Parent Portal account, please contact us: (678) 720-9870
In the event that your child is sick, please do not send them to school. Your child must be free from fever for 24 hours before they may return to school.

New Life Academy of Excellence will follow Gwinnett County Public Schools in school closures and delays.
Should a student not earn promotion to the next grade, he or she may have the opportunity to attend summer school in-person during the summer of 2023 to learn the AKS standards not mastered during the school year.
It is strongly recommended that students and parents/guardians use the GCPS Parent Portal to access class grades and maintain passing grades in all courses.
Early Dismissal ends at 2:30pm. You must enter the carpool line to pick up your student(s) after this time. Please request an appointment to meet with a teacher or administrator after 3:30pm if needed.
