Principal's Message
Dear Wakefield Middle School Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful week! We enjoyed having our students in the building for a full week of learning. Please be reminded that next Wednesday, April 28th is a Remote Learning Day!
The School Board approved the continuation of a Virtual Academy for the 2021-2022 school year. PLEASE read all the details below thoroughly as you are considering whether or not to enroll your student in it.
The School Board also approved another change to our calendar. The May 5th Remote Learning Day will be moved to May 13th. There will be a full day of school on May 5th.
Please help your student(s) to look through their items at home to find all novels that have been checked out to them so far this school year. Students should only have their final EL Module texts at this point. Please return all novels from Modules 1 and 2 to the building. Thank you!!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Alison Cleveland

Additional Information
Students in Quarantine
- The student will be marked as "Present Off-Site" so long as he or she completes the assigned work in Google Classroom, and/or communicates with his or her teacher(s) or counselor.
- The student has access to any of his or her blended live virtual classes. If he or she has classes that are currently only in-person, there is no GoogleMeet to view.
- Students can access all of their assignments and messages on their Google Classrooms.
- Teachers who teach virtually will record new instruction each day. The counselor will send the student daily emails with videos of virtual classes that were recorded by teachers that day. These can be used as a resource while learning at home.
- We also encourage students to communicate with teachers using email and/or Google Classroom. Students will be able to schedule time to meet with teachers virtually during WolfTime or their planning periods.
