Mr. Finkle's Message
Dear Parents of Seniors:
We are exactly one week away from graduation, and we would like to make graduation an exciting and enjoyable event for both students and parents. I am respectfully requesting your help and support for the following:
On May 8th, a detailed letter was sent home to senior parents regarding mandatory graduation practices and graduation. As stated in the letter, graduation tickets are not required if the ceremony is held outside. In the event of inclement weather, graduation will be held in the gym. Due to limited seating, only four guests will be allowed to attend. Tickets will be distributed at practice on Thursday morning. The ceremony will be streamed live on our web site, in the media center and the performing arts center. We will do our very best to hold the ceremony outdoors.
Please be mindful and respectful of your neighbor during this important event. Please do not bring balloons to the ceremony whether it will be held outdoors or indoors. We receive many complaints after every graduation ceremony from family members and friends that they had a difficult time viewing the ceremony because of the obstruction.
The procession will begin promptly at 7pm. Due to the large volume of cars, parking will be a challenge. I ask everyone to give yourself extra time that evening. If anyone needs to be driven to the football field, the custodial staff will be available with golf carts. Please drop off your family members at the end of the parking lot by the gymnasium.
Diplomas will be distributed to the seniors during the ceremony. Only one copy has been ordered for each student. Getting a duplicate copy is costly and time consuming.
The Class of 2019 worked extremely hard. They deserve to enjoy the fruits of their labor with little distractions so please plan your arrival time accordingly.
All obligations/book fines must be paid in full by Wednesday, June 19th. Any senior who has an outstanding obligation will not receive their graduation cap and gown after graduation rehearsal on Wednesday. If you have any questions regarding an obligation or book fine, please contact Mrs. Susan Jordan at sjordan@delranschools.org or (856) 461-6100 x3003.
Project Graduation
The Delran Middle and High School PTA is proud to be sponsoring Project Graduation 2019 on Thursday, June 20th from 9:15pm to 3:00am at The Moorestown Field House. Project Graduation is a drug and alcohol free party for the graduates held on graduation night. It allows our graduates to celebrate with their fellow classmates in a safe environment. Additional information is posted here.

Scholarship Night
Seniors Honor Lieutenant Craig Pennell
A few nights ago, the Class of 2019 donated a tree to the Firehouse as a thank you for all the years they hosted them for Homecoming. They dedicated a tree and a plaque in honor of the late Lieutenant Craig Pennell who past away this school year. Rest in peace Lieutenant Pennell.
World’s Largest Periodic Table
The United Nations proclaimed 2019 to be the "International Year of the Periodic Table." The Western Michigan local section of the American Chemical Society will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Dmitri Mendeleev's critical contribution to all branches of science by creating the World’s Largest Periodic Table!
Schools were invited to participate by creating a block of one of the 118 elements for this event. Delran High School’s AP Chemistry Class chose to create a block for Element #61, Promethium.
The 118 element blocks will be placed together as the World’s Largest Periodic Table is assembled on October 19, 2019 for 2019 National Chemistry Week Event held from 10am to 2pm at Grand Valley State University’s Kelly Family Sports Center.
