The Story of the Manisaciyan Collection from the 1800s to Present-Day Tarsus Campus



Serving education for 133 years in Tarsus, one of the oldest settlements in Anatolia, Tarsus American College, is a strong advocate for the preservation of the unique history of its location.


With the emphasis placed on history and national values, the time-revered institution ensured that the entomology collection samples sent to the school from Merzifon as early as 1938 have survived to today. These historic relics, which were able to reach the school despite the destruction of war, were sorted and saved many years later thanks to the concerted efforts of the school’s graduates. This entomology collection, which sheds light on history, is now ready to meet with visitors in the “Natural Sciences Research Center” of Sadik Pasa Mansion, located in our greater campus. The story of this collection of minerals, rocks and fossils, brought together with a monumental effort dating back to 1800s which extends to present day and our historical campus in Tarsus, is featured in the February issue of Atlas magazine...

TAC Girls Basketball Team At the Regional Championship


​TAC’s girls basketball team became the Mersin Champion with its victory against Adnan Özçelik Anatolian High School (53-43) at the Mersin provincial finals played on Thursday, February 10.


TAC is proud to share that our team will now play in the Regional Championship, congratulating all players and the technical team, and thanking all members of the TAC family especially the Board Members, Mr. Trujillo our Head of School, and President of the PTA for their support during the games.


More information will be provided after the announcement of the Regional Championship Program.

TAC Girls Volleyball Wins Its First Game in the Tournament


TAC Girls Volleyball Team saw victory in their first game against Antalya AÇI High School on Thursday, February 10th with a score of 3-1.


Their second game will be on Friday, 11 February at 15:30 against KKTC Erenköy High School.


TAC thanks the school community in advance for the support and congratulates the female athletes who were off to a great start in the tournament.

TAC is proud to share that Taylan Rüzgar from Prep and Edibe Eylül from 10 E were selected as National Team candidates at the National Chess Championship held in Antalya on 22-29 January 2022. We wish them continued success.

Four International Success Stories from Recent Graduates of SEV American High Schools



Four SEV American High School graduates who now attend the most reputable universities of the world, Harvard, Yale, Bocconi and Rice, after graduating from Health and Education Foundation (SEV) high schools gave an interview to Sabah newspaper sharing their goals for the future. The interview of our recent graduates, who now successfully represent Turkey internationally, was published in Sabah newspaper and sabah.com.tr on 31 January. TAC is proud to share that one of them is our own, Emir Şendoğan, who was among the three tennis players selected globally by Rice University, USA, last year.
