Violence Against Women
Women's rights are violated every day, from at home to their workplace. They are abused physically and sexually. Every 1 in 4 women are abused by their significant other. Women that are between the age of 18-24 are the highest targets for violence. 20,000 phone calls are made to domestic violence hotlines all over. That seems like a lot but more than that are too scared to call because of what might happen to them.
Women's Rights In The Workplace
Women still have not reached equal pay in the workplace with men. They are still not allowed to do certain jobs, or are looked down upon when trying. Women are pushed to have lower paying jobs, and the jobs that men do not want. Women were seen as people who stay at home. The ones to clean, cook, and care for the children. Since then women have more opportunities and are not expected to stay at home. Although, it is still not equal between men and women in the workplace.

Women are forced to wear certain clothing or they will be harshly punished. They also can not drive or travel anywhere without a male with them. These women have lost any control over their life.

In this country women are not allowed to work outside of the home without the consent of their spouse. Home is suppose to be your safe place but in Iran it is the opposite. Women are executed if they even try to stop a man from rape or abuse.
