Springs Studio Scoop
Springs Studio for Academic Excellence, February Edition
A note from Executive Principal, Mr. Knoche
We are approaching the halfway point to spring break, and we are in the heavy work phase of learning from the first part of the year and beginning to seek input from families and students to improve the way we operate and serve families. One of the immediate changes we are making is to separate this newsletter into several parts. Feedback from families has revealed a need to deliver a specific newsletter to high school families and middle school families separately with grade level content. An all-encompassing newsletter for the school is overwhelming and less personalized to what matters most, your students. We will have some hiccups as we change the way we provide information but with some input as we progress we will do a better job of celebrating our students, programs, and events. This specific newsletter will include information that will have an impact on at least 80% of the school or we will not include it. Improvements to our communications will also be complemented by the D49 App. If you have not downloaded it, please do so as push notifications will keep you up to date on all of the things happening at SSAE. As we attempt to continuously improve at SSAE, I will be reaching out to families and students to participate in focus groups to help us ensure we meet the needs of our stakeholders and allow all students to meet their potential and find their passion. We are excited to deepen our partnership with our families and dig deeper into how we can improve our product. Finally, as we move toward the 19-20 school year, we need everyone to complete the intent to enroll form so that we can manage enrollments for next year. We have a tremendous waiting list of students wanting to enroll, and we have a finite number of spots so please let us know that you are returning so that your enrollment is counted. Here is the link if you have not completed it:
Sincerely,
Dave Knoche

Why pop tabs? The tab is made of pure, high-grade aluminum. Don't forget about the tabs from soup cans, broth cans, pet food cans, and even tennis/racquetball balls!
Recycling these pop tabs helps families of critically ill children. Proceeds raised will support programs that last year served over 3,000 area children and their families.
