NO SCHOOL, MONDAY JANUARY 16, 2023

Principal's Message

Every day, students at CFT begin their learning with a morning meeting. In each classroom, students come together for 20 minutes to engage in social-emotional learning or SEL. In morning meeting, social emotional learning might include taking turns in conversations, listening and understanding our peers, and practicing empathy. Although morning meetings can look different in each class, most include opportunities to share our feelings or interests and get prepared for a day of learning together. Students use the skills they learn in morning meeting throughout the day to collaborate for learning, play together and solve problems independently and fairly.

I am proud of the social and emotional growth that our students make over the year and the ways in which morning meetings promote not only their social and emotional development, but their academic growth as well.

Hello CFT Latinx Community!

If you like to cook we need your help. In years past we’ve had a great group of Latina mothers volunteer to cook tamales or other desserts for sale at school events. We need a group of parents who can lead this effort including organizing, cooking and selling tamales. Our next event will be Valentine Bingo which will take place on February 14th. If you can help or want more information you can call me at 503-431-4403 or send an email to tmandujano@ttsd.k12.or.us.

We appreciate your help!
