From Mrs. Galloway:
I am excited to share a choral opportunity for rising 4th-5th grade students this upcoming fall semester -- The North Carolina Elementary Honors Chorus. The honors chorus is composed of the best fourth, fifth, and sixth grade singers from across the state of North Carolina who are selected through a rigorous audition process by adjudicators. The NC Elementary Honors Chorus will take place during the North Carolina Music Association Conference on Sunday, November 7th in Winston Salem, NC.
Because of COVID-19, we will still need to take precautions in preparing for this event, and we should plan to be flexible as things may change in the coming months. For more information regarding honors chorus, please view the information below! I am also also happy to answer any questions at kgalloway@chatham.k12.nc.us.

CGE Summer STEM Challenge
We are excited to share an enrichment opportunity to ignite learning for all CGE students this summer. This STEM challenge will build background knowledge in math and science while challenging students with the task of creating a high-flying paper rocket.
Click here to access and make a copy of the challenge. There will be a limited number of packets available for pick up in the front office if you can not access the electronic copies.
While working on the project, your child can collect work samples, pictures, and videos. Send any electronic work to mchesney@chatham.k12.nc.us for display in the school when we return in August.Summer/Fall Opportunities
Margaret Pollard Middle School:
Dear Rising Mustangs,
We are looking forward to next year and having you be a part of our school. During normal times, we would have a day where our 5th graders come to MBP and tour our halls, meet our teachers, and learn all about our school. We also would have a parent night where we share important information about MBP.
Unfortunately, we are unable to hold open houses this spring. We do, however, want to make the student and family transition into middle school as smooth as possible. Coming soon, we will be sending home a presentation that includes a tour of our school, important information such as classes and electives, different clubs and activities, etc.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
