Eye of the Dragon
John Dewey Academy of Learning * Back to School, Fall 2018
WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!
Welcome Back Dragon Families!
I hope everyone had a fantastic summer! From the stories I've heard, it's been filled with all kinds of fun and exciting experiences. As much as everyone loves (and deserves) a little break during the summer, we are also excited to welcome everyone back for a great year! We are welcoming you back to many of the same great experiences you love about our school. The focus of our school and our goals for our students remain the same. We strive to provide a personalized educational experience for each student, focusing not just on academics, but on personal and professional growth as well.
Welcome to...
... student-driven and student-centered learning.
... collaboration.
... multiple pathways for earning credit.
... community-based instruction.
... relevant and authentic learning.
... an environment of diverse strengths.
... mutual respect.
... developing life long learning skills.
... shared leadership and decision making.
... personalized learning experiences.
... student/advisor connections.
Welcome Back to John Dewey Academy of Learning! We are so happy you are here and can't wait to begin another new adventure this school year.
Thank you for being a dragon! We appreciate you and we believe in you.
With gratitude,
Jen + the JDAL Staff
