Why Attend?
Purpose of ESL Focus Trainings:
- to gather feedback from stakeholders in our ELL students' best interest
- to increase the understanding of sheltered instruction and best practices for ELLs
- to build support, community, and collaboration among colleagues
- to share resources
Past topics have included updates and announcements regarding:
- LPAC
- The Sheltered Instruction Model
- Campus and district ELL resources
- Legislation
- Curriculum
- Sheltered instruction strategies
- Opportunities for professional development
- District-wide events
Who is invited? ESL Teachers, ELA teachers of ELLs, Literacy/ELA/ESL Coaches, LPAC Chairs, Campus Administrators

- Participants will log-in to Workforce to receive supplemental pay.
- Please identify and send to us your suggestions for newcomer resources. Send email to: barbara.adkisson@austinisd.org.
- Meeting is in Room 100. Please use entry on the side of the school facing Comal Street.

Middle School: Meeting time: 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
