8th Grade Semi-Formal
Student Council is hosting an 8th grade Semi-Formal Hawaiian Ball on Friday, May 10th from 6:00-8:00PM. Tickets may be purchased during 8th grade lunch, May 7th-10th for $3. Please be aware that any student earning a referral May 6th-May 10th will not be permitted to the
dance.
There will be a modified dress code for the dance that evening. All dresses must meet the fingertip rule. The student's dress must come to the student's finger tips when the student has their arms down to their side. All dresses must also have straps that are two finger wide width. A sweater or shawl must be used to cover the students’ shoulders if this rule is not met. No clothing revealing bare midriffs will be allowed. All shirts must be able to be tucked in. Clothing which reveals undergarments, is studded, has spikes, or chained are all prohibited. Hats may be worn at the dance. All other dress code expectations will remain the same as outlined in our student handbook. All students will be checked for compliance to the dress code prior to entering the dance per school staff. Violations will not be permitted inside the event. If you have any questions about the dress code for the dance, please direct those questions to Assistant Principal, Mr. Smith, robert.smith@ftcsc.org.
If you are parent looking to volunteer for the Semi-Formal please again contact Mr. Smith so he can put you on the volunteer list. Again, mark your calendar for Friday, May 10th for the 8th grade semi-formal!

FTMS Junior Thespian Spring Showcase
Three plays for $5!
THE ONE ACT PLAY DISASTER: Everything that can go wrong, will go wrong when a group of student actors tries to put on an unauthorized adaptation of a popular heist movie. (FTMS West)
BAD AUDITIONS BY BAD ACTORS: A casting director has one day to find the leads for a community theater production of Romeo and Juliet. But what seems like a simple task proves impossible when the pool of actors includes extreme method actors, performers who just don't know what to do with their hands, and one particular woman who may or may not think she's a dolphin. This hilarious comedy will bring you to the last place you'd ever want to be...behind the doors of a casting session. (FTMS East)
JULIET AND THIS GUY ROMEO: Two rival families are at war in Verona, Wisconsin. The adults argue about politics on Facebook all night long, while the teenagers aggressively hashtag each other all day. But when a pair of teens from the different families fall so crazy in love that they start speaking in iambic pentameter, it's a tragedy waiting to happen. This zany comedy skewers the online animosity between liberals and conservatives with a little help from Shakespeare. (FTMS East)
